I am so glad you have joined us for the December bumper edition of Share Six. The theme is bokeh and we are so excited to have all the previous featured artists join us this month. I cannot wait to see everyone’s images on the topic bokeh.
So what is bokeh – the definition that I found was as follows:
Bokeh is the visual quality of the out-of-focus areas of a photographic image, especially as rendered by a particular lens.
I have found that the Lensbaby optics are superb for creating bokeh. However, I will get this with my 70-300mm zoom lens as well.
One day I was walking in the wetlands. It was incredibly hot and I discovered this little squirrel lying on the boardwalk railing just too hot to move. This image was taken with the 70-300mm zoom lens
One evening driving home from an event we passed a library, and I asked Richard to turn around and go back I wanted to get the reflections across the water. So he turned back, parked on the side of the road and I went walking through the bushes in the day with no idea of my settings due to using the lensbaby and hoped like crazy that I would get something that was worth editing. I was happy with the results I got. This image was taken with the Lensbaby Composer Pro and Sweet 35 optic.
This was the first time I picked up my camera in two months, and I limped outside to see if my squirrel was out. She wasn’t but the creeper had to shoots that formed a symmetrical shape and the light behind it was amazing. This image was taken with my f2.8L Macro lens
I went walking in the wetlands this past week with the Lensbaby composer pro. I love shooting narrow depth of field but it does not always work out for me when using the lensbaby. Sometimes my focal point is off. I was so happy to see that the leaf was in focus and the twist effect could be seen. This image was taken with the Lensbaby composer pro and Twist optic.
Walking in the wetlands I try to carry my zoom lens and the Lensbaby optics. This image was taken with the Lensbaby Composer Pro and Sweet 35 optic.
I love Christmas and this past year I was playing with the Lensbaby and the Sweet 35 optic. The results really made me happy.
