The idea of {Mood} takes me straight to black and white images. I love moody black and whites. So for this blog I decided to look at sunsets. As I was editing I came across a few that had people in them. There is something about watching a sunset that is really peaceful for me. Its another complete day that I have done what I needed to do; my job, my home time, and today my baby duty time. Catching the setting sun, especially on a cloudy day create super moody black and white images. It’s time to relax, to meditate, to contemplate. Sometimes it’s time to catch up with friends who have also come out to watch the sunset. My preference is always to watch the sunset rather than the sunrise. I am not a morning person. I take a while to get my act together. But I love the end of the day. And I love to end my day with the opportunity to watch the sun set yet again.
I read a quote yesterday on the eclipse moon but the same would apply to the sunset
It offers a primal sense of what it means to be human, through shared despair and delight under a celestial rebirth. We are all so consumed by our problems on the ground. Sometimes, we need a reason to look up ~ Katrina

The day is over, the night has come.
Today is over, what’s done is done.
Embrace your dreams throughout the night.
Tomorrow comes with a whole new light.
I hope that sunsets resonate with you. I hope the dark and stormy edits create the {mood} I was going for. At the end of the day, I am grateful for my husband, my children, my grandchildren, and the faith that I have in creator that gives me the most amazing sunsets.

This year I joined a group of artist to do a P52. That means one photo a week. We had to choose a theme for the year and I opted to go with Black and White. There were no strict rules, just a whole lot of encouragement to pick up my camera and shoot images. Below are all the images I took through the 2017 year.
