The theme for this month is {Shadows} and was chosen by Lupji Photography. I have to be honest getting photo’s recently has been challenging. With a new baby in the family and a daughter doing her MBA, I find myself with one or both of the children fairly regularly. In addition I have had no internet for over 10 days due the the mistaken thought that I should upgrade to Windows 11. I swear every time I do an upgrade something goes wrong. This time it appears my internet is not compatible with the upgrade. Fortunately I have a work laptop that is working but it is a pain when photoshop is on the one that is not working. So I have done the best I could in the time frame we had.
Being a grandmother has been such a blessing. I remember thinking I am not old enough to be a grandmother, but what did I know. It’s probably better to be younger than older. Our three year and a half year old keeps me on my toes. My heart is full with these two little ones in my life.

Part of my routine for the past 3.5 years is to have Luka on a Friday. Initially it was because he kept getting sick at the daycare and it was just one day of the week he did not have to go. I would pick him up in the morning and drop him back off at home at 5pm in the afternoon. As he got older our routine became that he would sleep over Friday nights. That gave mom and dad a date night if they wanted one. Now it give mom time to do school work and look after the baby.
A few weeks back we found a park that Luka loves to go to, so most of my shadow images are from the park. I love this park. It’s close to home, and it has a variety of things for him to do, from slides, stepping plates, climbing walls, a wooden train, and an actual rock wall. So here are the shadows I found at the park. These were taken over various visits.

This last image is taken from a magical place about 30 minutes from home called Candyland. There is so much to do there but Luka really loves the slides. It took him a while to get the confidence to climb the stairs and go through the obstacle course to get to the slide but once he figured that out he was off in a hurry.

Shadows are all over the place we just need to keep looking. I love that I can find them with these two beauties that grace my life. It is a real blessing to be their grandmother.
This is a circle blog and as I mentioned, we have some very talented artists in the group. Take some time to follow the links and see what they have for you this month. My incredibly talented friend Liz of Elizabeth Willson Photography up next. She is super talented with Lensbaby optics. I can’t wait to see what she has to share. You can see more of her work by clicking on her Instagram page.
Until next time, stay well.
