Share Six: April 2026: Framed

Starting April, there is a shift on how things will be done at Share Six. Due to numerous reasons, for the time being we will no longer post to the Share Six Page or to the Facebook and IG pages. Time constraints have really forced us to do this. But for those that choose to continue to blog, it will still be a circle blog. We have also opened it up so that if the theme does not work for the blog contributor, then they are free to blog whatever they choose. For all of us right now, there is so much going on and it just feels easier this way. We have survived in this group for 10 long years and I know that I am grateful for each and every blogger that has been a part of the group for the past 10 years. They have each brought an interesting and exciting dynamic to the group. And who knows perhaps we will get back to the way we have had it before long.

That said this month’s theme is {Framed}, and so I look at what I had done recently. Most of my free time is helping my daughter with her children. I either have Luka on the weekend, or more recently Ella. Ella is a lot more work than Luka but she is such a joy to have with us.

This past weekend Ella’s daycare invited us to an Easter Egg hunt and while we waited Luka and I headed off to the playground for some climbing and a few photo’s.

What I looked for in each of these images was how the playground equipment framed Luka. Below is another park image on a different day.

For then next images, we had gone to the Lion Country Safari Night of Lights event and there were some cool places to get photo’s

Lastly a couple of our baby girl Ella. She is our joy and she has brought a lot of change into our lives but what a blessing she is to each one of us.

Ella has the most interesting color eyes. Today when I was looking they appear blue on the outside, green in the inner layer and brown in the middle. Then I looked at Amy’s eyes, which I have always thought were green, and they are exactly the same. I have hazel eyes and Richard has blue eyes, hence Amy’s color I guess. Its amazing just how much genetics play in passing on traits.

Ella has become our precious addition and while I have not blogged her as much as Luka, she holds a large part of our heart.

Thank you for joining me on this photography journey. It has been hard of late to pick up the heavy camera and I find myself relying on my phone to get the quick images, but when I do pull out that camera it makes me appreciate the difference. Blogging may change from month to month. Sometimes I will link up to a fellow blogger, sometimes I may not. This month I am linking up to the talented Lupji Photography. Follow the link to read what he has for us this month.

Until next time..

Stay well
