Share Six: October 2025: Black and White

This month has flown and I found myself being asked for links and realized that I had not done anything and I have a busy day today. However, there is only one thing on my mind this week and that is celebrating the beautiful wonder that has been placed in our lives.

I wasn’t sure how I felt about becoming a grandmother, but these little lives sneak into your heart and before you know it you are doing everything you can for your babies.

Luka is our first grandchild and he has been such a blessing and a joy in our lives. He holds my heart in the palm of his hands. It fascinates me how much they change over the years. This little guy has the sweetest heart, biggest blue eyes, and hugs that just wrap around you. He was a sickly baby with lots of ear infections and so from a very early age I would take him on my free day and I would have him at the house. I have shares in this little guy. It has been such a wonderful experience to watch him grow and see how he changes along the way.

Today we celebrated his birthday early because next weekend we are heading on a road trip for another fun birthday celebration for him. He had a dinosaur party with a giant dinosaur slide, and a dinosaur pinata, and a dinosaur cake.

Today we celebrated a special little boy, the little guy of my heart. I can honestly say that I love being a grandmother and I love and appreciate all the time I get to spend with him. I cannot wait for Fridays when he comes for a sleepover each week. We try to do some educational time, some fun time, and as much as I try, I still haven’t mastered the clean up time. But we are working on it.
