The theme is {Stairs} and I have to say it is one of my favorites. Whenever we travel, I am out looking for interesting stairs.
It helps to look up a lot of the time. Also walking past alleyways. Visiting old buildings. There are so many different options.
Below the next three images are taken at a Historic site in South Florida, Viscaya museum. It is one of my favorite places to take folks to visit. Snug in the Bay of Biscayne in Miami, the home of the Deering family.has a history of old money. opulence, and a home that had many famous visitors. The gardens are huge and you can spend so much time just marveling at the vision that is found in your walk around. The house, now a museum is double story and restored to the days of the Deering family. The first image is taken from the second floor looking down. The second and third were taken in the gardens.

Some of my favorite set of stairs while traveling were found in Seattle. The next two were taken in the Seattle Library. It was 10 floors, we took the elevator to the top and then started walking down the stairs to each level. The escalator goes from the basement floor level up to the ground floor level.

The next three were found walking around Seattle. The city is full of all different types of stairs and we walked the city all 6 days of our stay there.

The next two were found in one of the older towns in Georgia, Savanah. Home to the Savannah River and the river boats that dock along the pier. It is a old harbor down and steps in the second photo down are typically your steps going from the road level to the pier level. They are fine going down but going back up the steps are higher than the normal steps. The first photo was taken walking around the city looking at the houses.

There is just something about these beautiful double sided stairs that I found at the Gaylord in Nashville. Home to country music I felt that this was indicative of the old colonial homes found in the south. I have visions of ballrooms and waltzing and gaiety.

Again another favorite photo taken in Sydney Australia. I have used this photo before in my blogs but there is just something that pulls me back to it again and again.

When you are out walking the city, remember to look up, look around, look down alleyways, there are stairs everywhere and some of them really pull you in. For me I am not used to seeing stairs outside a building. Florida homes are generally not more than double story. So stairs outside of a building are fascinating. But the highlight of the stairs was definitely the Seattle Library, and if you ever get a chance to visit it, I would definitely encourage you to do so.
This is a circle blog and as I mentioned, we have some very talented artists in the group. Take some time to follow the links and see what they have for you this month. My talented friend Jan of @wiredtothemoon_ is up next. I can’t wait to see what he has to share.
Until next time..
Stay well
